“KrimZon” is an electronic and experimental extended play (EP) created in 2012. This is the first real album I’ve ever created and posted online for the public to hear. While it’s definitely rough around the edges, I learned a lot while creating every track. Everything created before this album was purely technical and educational in nature, so this served as a real stepping stone for me as a new musician.
I’m still proud of how all of these tracks turned out, and I still use them in some of my work today. My favorites are Anti-Brutal Commencement and Pursuit of the Radiant Pulsar. I call this album experimental due to using it as a learning experience for producing music. Not every track is mixed or sequenced how I’d do it today, but I still wouldn’t change anything.
Synopsis
With this album being experimental, the tracks were not created with a sense of cohesiveness. The overall sound is a mixture of dance and grunge with each track progressing into a darker tone. Basic tone waves and audio effects were used through midi sequencing. The grit and reverberation leave an open and yearning tone.
